Timothée Chalamet and Selena Gomez, who previously starred together in Woody Allen's romantic film "A Rainy Day in New York," are set to reunite on screen, this time lending their voices to Illumination's upcoming animated feature, "Not Alone." The animation powerhouse behind the "Despicable Me" franchise announced the casting of Chalamet and Gomez at this year's Annecy International Animation Film Festival.

According to the press release, Chalamet will voice Joe, an introverted rocket mechanic who leads a quiet, solitary life. Gomez is cast as Fran, a brilliant astro-botanist developing the world's first-ever plant-fueled rocket.
Joe and Fran, both inexperienced in romance, quickly find sparks flying as they collaborate to prepare for the groundbreaking rocket's inaugural launch. However, their lives take an unexpected turn when three mischievous, tiny aliens — Dunk, Welly, and Shirm — take refuge in Joe's home, fleeing from Zandro, a zealous yet bumbling interstellar law enforcement officer. The trio of aliens then pins their hopes of returning safely home on Fran's revolutionary rocket. The film is slated for an April 2027 release.
