Bandai's GASHAPON division is set to release the second wave of its popular "Waiting" (Machibouke) series, this time featuring the classic anime "Hamtaro." These "Hamtaro: Waiting Series 2" capsule toys will retail for 300 JPY per turn and are slated for release in the fourth week of June 2026!
"Hamtaro" is a beloved manga series created by Ritsuko Kawai, which was adapted into a TV anime by TMS Entertainment in 2000. The story follows the curious golden hamster Hamtaro, owned by fifth-grader Laura Haruna, and his delightful daily adventures with the new hamster friends he meets after Laura's family moves.
Following the first wave released in June 2024, Hamtaro and his friends are making a highly anticipated return to the popular "Waiting" series! This second collection once again features beloved characters from the series in their signature sitting-and-waiting poses. The lineup includes Hamtaro, Bijou, Pashmina, and Dexter, offering four charming variations. Each figure stands approximately 3.5 cm tall, meticulously sculpted to capture the characters' iconic looks. While Hamtaro, a returning character, holds a sunflower, his three companions are depicted clutching their favorite sunflower seeds to their chests, all rendered with irresistibly cute, watery eyes!
