In recent years, Designer Toys have steadily grown into a significant collecting and creative culture, captivating many younger generations. Organized by Shiwen Chaocreation, the "ORITOY Original Toy Project" is set to debut from July 1 to July 31, 2026, at Fnac Taipei Nanjing West Store, inviting the public to discover the unique charm of original Taiwanese designer toys.
"ORITOY" is derived from "Original Toy." To promote Taiwan's cultural and creative energy, this event is exclusively focused on two major themes: "Taiwan" and "Originality." It brings together a diverse array of Taiwanese original toy brands, including Shuibo Bailu, KAMEN, Geckocity, Abao Studio, Shouxi Shao, Xile Toys, Cybercatus, and MIN, to showcase their distinctive characters and creations.
Unlike typical short-term toy exhibitions, the "ORITOY Original Toy Project" offers a month-long display, providing visitors ample time to appreciate the works. The exhibition's central department store location aims to attract a broader audience, allowing more people to encounter designer toy culture in their daily lives. Beyond displaying and selling the pieces, the event will also present the creators' philosophies, character designs, and brand stories, enabling visitors to not just see the toys but also understand the creativity and worldview behind each piece.
To enhance its appeal, the event will feature numerous limited-edition debut pieces from various toy brands. These include Shuibo Bailu's "Fengshenye," KAMEN's "Zombie T-Rex — Slime Version," Geckocity's "Croissant Godfather — Silver Flame Emissary," Abao's "Evil Sofubi SCREEM," Shouxi Shao's "Beer Monster Lager — Dazzling Color Version and Awamori Version," MIN's "Shepherd Boy No. 2," and Cybercatus's "Lucky Rebel Cat." As these are all handcrafted in limited quantities, they possess significant collectible value.

As participating designer Yilu aptly puts it: "Toys are proof that we can keep 'fantasy' and that 'purest, most childlike self' in the real world."
The organizer, Shiwen Chaocreation, hopes that through the Original Toy Project, more people will rediscover the value of imagination and creativity in toys, finding their original passion amidst busy lives. They also aspire to introduce more people to the power of Taiwanese original design, ensuring that designer toys are no longer just a niche interest for a few collectors but a form of creation understood and appreciated by a wider audience.
