Those familiar with Christopher Nolan's work know that veteran British actor Michael Caine is one of his most frequent collaborators. While Caine does not appear in Nolan's upcoming film "The Odyssey," his voice — or rather, an AI-generated version of it — is featured in a new audiobook adaptation of Homer's epic poem, "The Odyssey," published by ElevenLabs. This audiobook release comes ahead of Nolan's highly anticipated film adaptation, which is due next month.

ElevenLabs exclusively launched the 13-hour "The Odyssey" audiobook on its ElevenReader app platform yesterday. Michael Caine is credited as the narrator; however, the narration was not personally recorded by Caine himself, but rather generated using various AI tools. Caine had previously granted ElevenLabs the rights to use his voice and likeness last year, making this a fully authorized and legitimate use of his voice.
