CAPCOM FIGURE BUILDER (CFB), the acclaimed model brand from Japan's CAPCOM, known for its popular "Monster Hunter" hunting game series, has unveiled its latest Sofubi Model: the Gore Magala! This new collectible is set to release in February 2027, with a suggested retail price of 6,578 JPY.
The Gore Magala, a flagship monster from "Monster Hunter 4," made a popular return in "Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak." This juvenile form is covered in dark scales, with massive wing membranes resembling a black cloak. Lacking eyes, it perceives its surroundings through special scales that spread the Frenzy Virus. Creatures infected by the virus develop blood-red eyes, lose their sanity, and eventually succumb to the infection.
The "CFB Sofubi Model Gore Magala" stands approximately 14 cm tall and 21 cm deep, offering a substantial presence. Despite its adorable chibi proportions, the figure masterfully utilizes sofubi molding techniques to meticulously sculpt the Gore Magala's complex biological structures, its cloak-like wing-legs, and the ominous textures of its scales. To capture the unique feel of different parts of the monster, details from the purple-glowing horns on its head and the sharp carapace of its body, to the glossy claws and intricate mouth details, are all brought to life with finely nuanced gradient and contrast painting. This meticulous approach perfectly recreates the mysterious and oppressive appearance of the Gore Magala as seen in the game!
