Craig Gillespie, the acclaimed director behind "Cruella" and recently attached to DC's upcoming superhero tentpole "Supergirl" (pictured below), shows no signs of slowing down. According to an exclusive report from Deadline, Gillespie is already in talks to direct his next feature, "Homewreckers," an AI-driven sci-fi film with an erotic thriller bent.

Based on a novella by Neil Paik, who also penned the screenplay, "Homewreckers" centers on Beth and Henry, a couple whose marriage teeters on the brink of collapse, plagued by suspicion, emotional distance, and regret. Henry is convinced Beth is having an affair. Meanwhile, advanced artificial intelligence technology presents Beth with a surreal opportunity: to rekindle her romance with a "younger version" of Henry.
Legendary Pictures acquired the script in a competitive bidding war back in 2024 and has been developing the project since. Hot commodity Glen Powell has already joined the cast in a starring role and has been involved in the development as a producer for some time. He is expected to portray Henry.
