South Korean model manufacturer BLITZWAY has teased the upcoming release of their latest product from the "Rebuild of Evangelion" series: the "Evangelion Unit-01", joining their robot-themed die-cast action figure line, "CARBOTIX." The figure is set to be officially unveiled on June 30, with initial prototype images already revealed.
The "CARBOTIX Evangelion Unit-01" features die-cast joint parts in its main body, providing a substantial metallic feel. Its iconic purple and green restraints are meticulously recreated with vibrant paint applications and tampo printing, accurately reproducing the glossy colors and various body markings. Original design elements have also been judiciously added to enhance the overall detail density. For articulation, a dynamic high-kneeling firing pose with the Pallet Rifle has already been showcased, promising excellent poseability across all joints.
Accessories are expected to include armaments such as the Pallet Rifle, Progressive Knife, and Spear of Cassius. The figure also comes with a large display base that ingeniously doubles as both a hangar for the Unit and a weapon storage rack. A miniature Gendo Ikari figure can be seen inside the command tower located above the front hangar section, while the weapon storage rack on the back features a functional folding hatch mechanism.
