Japanese company TAITO (株式会社タイトー) has unveiled its latest addition to the "DRESSTA" series, known for combining figures with dynamic effect parts. The new "DRESSTA Hiei" scale figure, based on the classic anime "Yu Yu Hakusho," is priced at 8,800 JPY (tax included) and is slated for release in November 2026.
A fan-favorite character from "Yu Yu Hakusho," Hiei (ひえい) is the son of an Ice Maiden, born in the Glacial Village. Deemed a cursed child destined to bring disaster, he was abandoned by his clan at birth. To locate the Ice Tear Stone left by his birth mother, Hina, Hiei had a third eye, the "Jagan Eye," implanted. He is a master of swordsmanship and the "Jao Ensatsu Ken" (Evil King's Incineration Fist) fighting style, which allows him to manipulate the Black Flames of the Demon World. Due to his overwhelming and uncontrollable power, he must bind his right arm and Jagan Eye with bandages to seal the formidable might of the Evil King's Black Dragon.
The "DRESSTA Hiei" scale figure masterfully captures Hiei's intense gaze, while his signature technique, the "Jao Ensatsu Kokuryuha" (Dragon of the Darkness Flame), is dynamically rendered with translucent parts, vividly bringing this astonishing battle scene to life. The figure precisely reproduces Hiei's compact physique and his fierce, determined aura. He is depicted holding the removed bandages in his hand, revealing the third eye on his forehead. A massive, purple-black dragon coils upwards from the base, with Hiei leaping dynamically alongside it. The substantial volume and stunning visual effects powerfully convey the overwhelming pressure and might of the Kokuryuha!
