BANDAI SPIRITS' TAMASHII NATIONS collectible toy division has announced the latest addition to its popular ROBOT Damashii line of robot action figures: the "Great Zeong" from the game "SD Gundam G Generation," scheduled for release in February 2027.
The MSN-03-2 Great Zeong is an original mobile suit that first appeared in the PS2 game "SD Gundam G Generation Spirits." It is established as the legitimate successor to the MSN-02 Zeong. While its head and arms evolved from the Zeong's design, most other parts mimic the iconic large Mobile Armors of the Principality of Zeon, including the chest and shoulders of the Apsalus III, the waist and thighs of the Big-Zam, and the lower legs of the Bygro. Each component can separate and operate independently via its Psycommu system, unleashing its all-range special attack, the "7-Way Attack," with its internal Mega Particle Cannons.
Unlike its SD (Super Deformed) appearance in the game, the ROBOT Damashii "Great Zeong" is rendered in a realistic scale, standing approximately 28 cm tall. With high-density sculpted details and a unique interpretation style characteristic of the ROBOT Damashii series, it powerfully recreates the combined form of four iconic Principality of Zeon Mobile Armors. To ensure stability for its large body during display, the shoulder joints and ankle joints are constructed with die-cast metal parts, enhancing their load-bearing strength. The figure also faithfully recreates the separation and combination gimmick of the four MA components, and a dedicated display stand is included to showcase each component.
In its combined form, the abdominal Mega Particle Cannon part acts as a locking mechanism for the upper and lower body. The leg sections also feature storage and connection locking mechanisms, enhancing the stability of the combined structure and allowing for various dynamic combat poses. However, based on the product images, the waist appears to lack a rotating joint. The Zeong component's head features a movable mono-eye camera, and interchangeable head-top parts are also included to recreate its vertical rotation.
Once the components are separated, the Apsalus III component can deploy its internal head and mechanical arms without needing to swap parts. The Big-Zam component features a deployable movable mono-eye camera and Mega Particle Cannon muzzle, while its foot sections are recreated using interchangeable parts. The pair of Bygro components, which form the feet, also feature movable mono-eye cameras, and their heat claw weapons can be deployed via a pull-out mechanism.
