Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock are set to star in the sequel to their beloved 90s fantasy comedy "Practical Magic." Twenty-eight years after the original, the film, officially titled "Practical Magic: The Book of Magic," has just released its second trailer.
Susanne Bier, who previously directed Bullock in the Netflix apocalyptic thriller "Bird Box," is helming "The Book of Magic." Akiva Goldsman, co-writer of the first film, returns to pen the script, with the story primarily adapted from "The Book of Magic," the fourth novel in the original book series.

The returning cast members include two-time Academy Award winner Dianne Wiest and Tony Award winner Stockard Channing. New additions to the ensemble feature Lee Pace (known for his role as the Elf King Thranduil), Maisie Williams, Xolo Maridueña (who played Blue Beetle), Solly McLeod, and Joey King. The film is slated for a September 11 release in North America, with international markets getting an early premiere on September 9.
The official synopsis states that this sequel will transport audiences back to a world of endless charm and powerful ancestral magic. The Owens witch sisters must confront the threat of a dark curse to prevent their family's demise. It promises to be a must-see cinematic feast filled with fun, magic, and chaos.
