BANDAI SPIRITS' collector toy division, TAMASHII NATIONS, is bringing back the highly popular "Souchaku Henshin" (装着変身) action figure line after 25 years, re-releasing the iconic "Kamen Rider Kuuga Mighty Form" in a brand new iteration! This long-awaited item is scheduled for release in December 2026.
Kamen Rider Kuuga is an ancient warrior transformed by the young man Yusuke Godai, who possesses 2000 skills. The police refer to him as "Unidentified Life Form No. 4" as he continuously battles the Grongi, an ancient race who delight in murder, for the sake of justice. Kuuga can transform into various forms to counter different types of enemies. This latest release features his most iconic form, Mighty Form, which grants him the power to control fire.
The "Souchaku Henshin Kamen Rider Kuuga Mighty Form" stands at approximately 12.5 cm tall. It faithfully recreates the armor-donning and articulated hand structure of the original Souchaku Henshin series. The chest armor, forearm armor, belt, and ankle parts are all made with die-cast metal, giving this release an unparalleled sense of luxury, akin to the Chogokin series. Unlike previous versions, the compound eyes and the center of the belt now utilize clear parts. New articulation points have been added to the waist, thighs, and ankles, allowing for more dynamic posing! Furthermore, compared to previous Souchaku Henshin Kuuga figures, this new version features removable knee armor, ankle rings, and gauntlets, offering a more complete recreation of the "Souchaku" (donning/wearing) concept. The product also includes a display stand and backdrop designed in the original style, with the backdrop material upgraded from paper to PET.
