Japanese model kit manufacturer Kotobukiya, in collaboration with illustrator En Morikura, has announced the latest addition to their everyday-life bishojo model kit line, "Sousai Shojo Teien," with the upcoming release of "KIRU-PLA Madoka Yuki [Momozakura High School Winter Uniform]" slated for December 2026.
Madoka Yuki, a first-year student in Class A at Momozakura High School, is known for her innocent and cheerful personality. She adores all things cute, and her friends treat her with the affection usually reserved for a beloved puppy. Currently, Madoka is grappling with uncertainty about her future goals, leading her to enthusiastically try various activities in her quest to find her dream, sometimes getting into a bit of trouble along the way. Her immediate goal is to make a ton of new friends.
The "Sousai Shojo Teien KIRU-PLA Madoka Yuki [Momozakura High School Winter Uniform]" marks the inaugural release in a brand-new series that combines plastic assembly model kit bodies with fabric clothing parts. By utilizing fabric garments, which offer significantly less interference with articulation, this series fully unleashes the body's flexible design, allowing for a wider range of dynamic poses than standard figures. Furthermore, collectors can mix and match with items from the separately sold "Tiny Closet" dress series to create even more diverse looks.
The base body is a modified version of the previously released "Dressing Body M." It features a new lower abdomen part, molded in skin tone and devoid of clothing details, along with adjusted hip and thigh shapes to expand the gap and facilitate easier rotation when posing.
Madoka Yuki's head largely reuses the hair and face sculpts from previous products. It includes three distinct hairstyles—long hair, high ponytail, and twin tails—along with three pre-painted interchangeable facial expressions: a smiling face, a mischievous grin, and a crying face. For her limbs, the kit comes with loafers, various PVC sculpted hand parts, and four different leg parts, allowing for options with no socks, short socks, long socks, and over-the-knee socks.
The fabric school uniform is divided into three components: a knit top, a skirt, and panties. While the knit top integrates the sailor uniform with a knit cardigan to account for fabric thickness, it faithfully reproduces the white stripes on the collar through printing and captures the elasticity of knit material. The skirt features highly立体褶襉 (three-dimensional pleats) and finished edges, allowing for dynamic, flowing skirt poses. The panties, while relatively simplified in design, feature a printed pink polka dot pattern.
