PLEX Co., Ltd. and X-PLUS Co., Ltd. have announced the latest addition to their "Toho Large Monsters Series" of sofubi figures, which are based on iconic monsters from Toho films. The newest release, "MetalGarurumon: 'G' Erosion Mode," originating from the "Digimon Pendulum COLOR Godzilla Edition," is slated for release in November 2026.
The "Digimon Pendulum COLOR Godzilla Edition," set to launch in August 2026, is the second collaborative product celebrating Godzilla's 70th anniversary with Digimon. The game software features dozens of classic Toho monsters from the Godzilla series as trainable characters, and introduces five new collaboration-exclusive Digimon, including "MetalGarurumon: 'G' Erosion Mode," which have evolved through G-cells.
The "Toho Large Monsters MetalGarurumon: 'G' Erosion Mode" figure faithfully recreates the design by artist Kenji Watanabe from the game, boasting an impressive 33 cm (approximately 13 inches) length. It meticulously captures MetalGarurumon's left half, featuring metallic paintwork, battle-damaged details, and deployed leg-mounted weaponry. In stark contrast, the right half is depicted as being infested by Godzilla cells, complete with rough Godzilla skin and massive claws. The entire back is heavily Godzilla-fied, growing a tail and dorsal fins, while its signature beam-like wings have been transformed into massive dorsal fin-like structures. This allows collectors to appreciate its unique asymmetrical design from every angle.
