BANDAI CANDY, the Shokugan division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., has officially announced the latest addition to its popular "SHOKUGAN MODELING PROJECT" (SMP) assembly model kit series. Coming from the robot action-shooter game "Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon," the "AAP07: BALTEUS" is slated for release in April 2027. This item will be exclusively available through Bandai's official online store, Premium Bandai.
The "AAP07: BALTEUS," now being immortalized as a collectible, is a special operations drone deployed by the "Planetary Closure Administration" in "Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon." It's infamous among players as the Chapter 1 boss that has crushed countless rookies. Built around the "AA18: LIGHT CAVALRY" core, this formidable machine features massive components packed with an array of weaponry and propulsion systems. It boasts not only Pulse Armor and Assault Armor but also advanced propulsion for rapid multi-directional movement. Its arsenal includes a Quadruple Shotgun, Triple Gatling Gun, Grenade Cannon, Flamethrower, and Multi-Missile Launchers. Even more terrifying, its colossal weapon bays can deploy an utterly absurd "156-Missile Launcher," unleashing hundreds of missiles simultaneously to achieve overwhelming suppressive fire.
The "SMP AAP07: BALTEUS" utilizes precision-engineered parts to meticulously recreate its various armaments, distinctive ring-shaped rails, and the high-density rivet detailing across its entire armor. The kit uses pre-colored plastic parts and some pre-painted sections to replicate its in-game colors. Once assembled, it commands an impressive presence, measuring approximately 45 cm long, 22 cm high, and 32 cm wide. It also comes with a dedicated display stand featuring interchangeable supports to pose the model at various angles, including horizontal, tilted right, tilted left, and leaning forward.
The model faithfully reproduces the armaments mounted on various sections, including the Quadruple Shotgun, Triple Gatling Gun, Grenade Cannon, Flamethrower, and Multi-Missile Launchers. It features articulated missile bay doors for the Multi-Missile Launchers, an upward/downward movable Grenade Cannon, and interchangeable parts to display the Flamethrower in its deployed state. Furthermore, by swapping out parts, you can recreate the "156-Missile Launcher" in its expanded, hemispherical missile-firing configuration, perfectly capturing its intimidating in-game appearance.
