Kotobukiya (KOTOBUKIYA), a leading Japanese toy company, has officially announced an exciting new addition to its popular "ARTFX J" line: the "Katsuki Bakugo FINAL SEASON Ver." 1/8 scale pre-painted figure from the hit anime series "My Hero Academia". This dynamic collectible is priced at 36,300 JPY and is slated for release in February 2027.
The figure captures a pivotal moment from the "My Hero Academia" anime's Final Season, specifically episodes two and three. After being critically injured, Katsuki Bakugo is revived by Best Jeanist's quick thinking and immediately rushes to assist Izuku Midoriya in saving All Might from the clutches of All For One, thereby defying Sir Nighteye's prophecy of All Might's demise.
Standing approximately 21 cm tall, the "Katsuki Bakugo FINAL SEASON Ver." 1/8 scale pre-painted figure vividly recreates Bakugo's intense battle against All For One after his revival. The sculpt perfectly captures his airborne pose, unleashing powerful explosions. His "Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight" hero costume is meticulously detailed with battle damage, and the wound on his chest from Best Jeanist's treatment is faithfully reproduced. Further intricate details include the grenades on his waist and the scuff marks on his kneepads and gauntlets. The paint application skillfully highlights the bloodstains on his face and the soot marks from the intense combat. Behind him, translucent effect parts, combined with exquisite airbrushing, create a scorching aura of smoke and fire, punctuated by striking cross-shaped flashes of sweat. His wild, open-mouthed expression perfectly conveys the overwhelming power and arrogance of the "Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight." As an added bonus, purchases made through Kotobukiya's official store will include an exclusive interchangeable face part (the expression previously seen during the color prototype reveal), offering even more display options for collectors!
