BANDAI SPIRITS' Tamashii Nations collectors division has officially unveiled a new addition to their S.H.Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou line: the "Kamen Rider BLACK Kingstone Flash Edition" action figure! This highly anticipated release, based on the iconic "Kamen Rider BLACK" series, is priced at 11,000 JPY and is slated for a December 2026 launch.
"Kamen Rider BLACK," a tokusatsu series that premiered in 1987, aimed to return to the franchise's roots while updating the world-building with new technology since "Kamen Rider Super 1." The story follows Kotaro Minami, who, on his 19th birthday, is abducted along with his step-brother Nobuhiko Akizuki by the evil organization Gorgom. Both are designated as candidates for the "next Creation King" and undergo modification with the Kingstone. Kotaro narrowly escapes during the chaos and subsequently transforms into Kamen Rider BLACK, battling against Gorgom.
Standing approximately 15 cm tall, the "Kamen Rider BLACK Kingstone Flash Edition" appears to utilize the same prototype as the 2021 release, crafted with the Shinkocchou Seihou technique that meticulously sculpts from the underlying musculature outwards to the suit. This method exquisitely captures the battle suit's intricate details and the refined texture of the suit's surface. Key elements like the exposed reinforced muscles and the iconic Kingstone belt are faithfully retained. A standout feature of this "Kingstone Flash Edition" is the inclusion of a new light-gathering head sculpt, which, when swapped, allows light shone from the back to create a striking illuminated effect!
Beyond the five interchangeable hands and replacement antenna, which are included again, this set introduces a new Kingstone belt replacement part featuring a luminous paint application, alongside a PET material effect sheet designed to replicate the glowing aura when the Kingstone Flash is activated. As a first-run limited edition bonus, a special display stand adorned with the BLACK logo will also be included, perfect for showcasing dynamic poses. Collectors can even pair it with the concurrently announced "Shadow Moon Shadow Flash Edition" to recreate the fated showdowns from the series!
