MEDICOM TOY, the renowned Japanese toy manufacturer, has officially announced the 18th wave of its highly acclaimed "Ultra Detail Figure (UDF)" series dedicated to "Fujiko F. Fujio's Works." This latest collection, featuring six new figures, is slated for release in December 2026.

From the legendary manga artist Fujiko F. Fujio, "Doraemon" is a beloved, long-running anime series chronicling the daily escapades of Doraemon, a cat-type robot from the 22nd century, and elementary school student Nobita Nobi. The UDF series captures the essence and poses of these iconic characters in a compact 6 to 9 cm scale, making them a favorite among manga enthusiasts and collectors alike.

The standout feature of this particular wave is the inclusion of two rare characters from Fujiko F. Fujio's acclaimed SF Short Stories: "Yodoba-shi" and "Tetsujin." This marks the first time the silent black robot, Tetsujin, has been immortalized as a UDF figure, having previously only been available as a sofubi. This is undoubtedly a massive treat for fans of the SF short stories. Meanwhile, the Doraemon lineup offers a variety of charming and playful poses, including Doraemon playing baseball, goofing around, and even dressed as a Nakai (innkeeper). Each figure features a distinct scene, making them perfect for display dioramas and photography.
