Netflix Unveils "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2" Teaser Trailer — CD Projekt Red, Studio Trigger Team Up Again for a New Night City Revenge Story

CD Projekt Red, Studio Trigger, and Netflix have officially unveiled a brand-new teaser trailer for "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2," offering a first look at the upcoming series slated for release this fall. While continuing to expand the "Cyberpunk" universe, this new installment will not pick up David's story, instead introducing an entirely new cast of characters in a standalone narrative.

According to the official description, the new story will plunge viewers into Night City's darkest, most brutal corners. In this lawless metropolis, only the ruthless survive, where a single misstep can prove fatal. The new characters include Weak Kingsley, a legendary edgerunner from the past; D, a netrunner seeking vengeance for his massacred clan; Roman Carax, a young cinephile obsessed with documenting the truth; and Talia Yang, who hails from the corporate towers but harbors a fascination for cybernetics and violence.

Bartosz Sztybor, showrunner and producer for "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2" and a Hugo Award winner, stated, "David's story may have concluded, but Night City still has so much more to explore." The series is directed by Kai Ikarashi, with Kazuki Kanno serving as lead designer. The trailer also features original music by Tsuneo Imahori and a new track, "You Can't Run From Me," performed by Rico Nasty.
