US toy brand NECA has officially announced its latest 7-inch action figure, the "Ultimate Ghost Face Returns," now available for pre-order at major retailers. The figure is expected to ship in August 2026 with a suggested retail price of USD$39.99.
Ghost Face, the iconic character licensed by horror mask brand Fun World, became a pop culture phenomenon with its pale skull mask and black hooded robe in the critically acclaimed 1996 American horror film "Scream." It remains one of the most recognizable horror IPs in the collecting world today.
This June, the Wayans family made a triumphant return to theaters with "Scary Movie 6" after 25 years, reuniting the original cast. The film grossed over $200 million worldwide, reigniting buzz for the parody series and further boosting Ghost Face's popularity.
This new release is a significant overhaul of NECA's original Ultimate Ghost Face, with the biggest highlight being the inclusion of five interchangeable faceplates: the classic white, a blood-splattered version, a green variant, a shimmering "Bling" edition, and the "Wazzup!" version, a direct homage to the horror-comedy "Scary Movie"—a scene where Ghost Face groggily answers the phone, which is arguably one of the most memorable comedic moments in the series.
The costume features an upgraded soft goods robe, and the articulation has been enhanced. The weapon arsenal is equally impressive, including a chrome knife, a rusted knife, a bone saw, an axe, and a newly sculpted voice changer. The interchangeable hands now include fan-favorite signature gestures like the "knife-wiping hand" and the "phone-holding hand." Furthermore, this figure is fully compatible with the previously released Ultimate Ghost Face Inferno, allowing collectors to mix and match parts for dynamic display options.
