TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectibles division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS, has announced the latest addition to its popular "S.H.Figuarts" articulated figure line: Mei Kinosaki from the hit anime and manga series "Marriage Toxin", slated for a January 2027 release!
The story follows Gero, a "Poison User" from a prestigious assassin family, who takes on the responsibility of producing an heir to secure his sister's and her girlfriend's romantic freedom. During a mission, he unexpectedly encounters Mei Kinosaki, a "Marriage Swindler" whose gender is ambiguous (Mei claims to be male). Gero, who struggles with interacting with women, saves Mei on the condition that Mei helps him find a marriage partner. Thus begins a thrilling urban adventure centered around Gero's arranged meetings with various charming and captivating women.
Standing approximately 15.5cm tall, the "S.H.Figuarts Mei Kinosaki" faithfully recreates Mei's initial appearance in a flowing white dress. The skirt features soft plastic parts to ensure a wide range of articulation. The figure comes with three interchangeable face plates, capturing Mei's diverse and gender-ambiguous expressions. An additional short hair part is included to replicate Mei's versatile looks. Also included are multiple interchangeable hand parts, including a pair of clasped "pleading hands." This figure can be displayed alongside the S.H.Figuarts Gero, which is also available for pre-order.
