BANDAI SPIRITS' TAMASHII NATIONS, a division renowned for its S.H.MonsterArts line of highly detailed and articulated monster figures, has unveiled a new release based on the film "Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S." The new "Godzilla (2003)" action figure is priced at 12,100 JPY (Tax Included) and is slated for a December 2026 release!

Released in 2003, "Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S." continues the story from its predecessor. The film sees the Shobijin (Mothra's fairies) imploring the Japanese government to sink Kiryu (Type-3 Mechagodzilla), which was built from the bones of the original Godzilla, into the ocean. They promise Mothra will protect humanity, but the government refuses. When Godzilla attacks Tokyo once more, the still-recovering Kiryu, along with the adult Mothra and her newly hatched twin larvae who arrive to assist, are forced to unite and engage Godzilla in a fated battle amidst the burning capital.

This "Godzilla (2003)" figure stands approximately 15.5 cm tall. Monster Sculpting Master Yuji Sakai personally supervised the prototype, coloring, and overall design, ensuring a meticulous recreation of Godzilla's massive dorsal fins and rough, rock-like skin texture. Crucially, the figure accurately sculpts the prominent chest scar left by Kiryu's close-range Absolute Zero Cannon attack in the previous film. The exquisite paint application faithfully captures the movie's colors, with realistic details like the yellowish claws on its hands and feet, and its menacing gaping maw, significantly enhancing its overall realism. With its highly flexible articulation, collectors can pose Godzilla in various dynamic and powerful stances. Furthermore, it can be displayed alongside the concurrently announced "Movie Graphic Plus Kiryu (Modified)" to recreate iconic scenes from the film!
