Good Smile Company's popular and affordable pre-painted figure line, "POP UP PARADE," has announced its latest release from the "Swacchao!" sub-series: the "POP UP PARADE Swacchao! Curly." Pre-orders are now open until July 8, 2026 (JST), with an estimated December 2026 release. The Japanese retail price is JPY 4,800 (tax included).
"Silent Doom" is a first-person psychological horror adventure game developed by Wrong Organ and published by Critical Reflex in 2024. It tells the story of five crew members stranded in resource-depleted space after the Pony Express company's interstellar freighter, the "Tulpa," deviates from its course. The game employs a non-linear narrative, with scenes before the crash viewed from Captain Curly's perspective, then switching to former co-pilot and current captain Jimmy's perspective after the crash. These two intertwining timelines gradually reveal the full scope of the events.
During the accident, Curly bravely stepped up to prevent the ship from crashing, but suffered severe injuries, losing his face, limbs, and ability to speak. He became a tragic figure, left at the mercy of the other crew members. Upon its release, the game received widespread acclaim, earning an "Overwhelmingly Positive" rating on Steam and a nomination for Game of the Year at the 2024 Independent Game Awards.
The "Swacchao!" series is a POP UP PARADE spin-off known for its 'sit-anywhere' pose figures. This particular release features a specially designed outer box that can be cut and assembled by the user to create Curly's iconic in-game "chair" prop.
