Mattel, the renowned American toy manufacturer, has officially announced the latest addition to its "Masters of the Universe Chronicles" series: "Gym Bro Skeletor." This highly anticipated figure will be released as a 2026 San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) exclusive, with a limited online sale kicking off on the Mattel Creations website starting July 23rd. The figure will retail for USD$50.

This unique design draws inspiration from the upcoming live-action "Masters of the Universe" movie, slated for release in 2026. In the film, Skeletor (portrayed by Jared Leto) doesn't just challenge Prince Adam physically; he invades his very consciousness. During a psychic assault sequence, Skeletor makes a hilariously unexpected appearance in an exaggerated gym ensemble, a moment that quickly became a standout scene. Mattel has perfectly captured this memorable segment, depicting Skeletor in a purple hooded tank top, matching shorts, high athletic socks, and lace-up sneakers. Combined with his signature blue skin and skull face, the figure embodies an absurd yet endearing contrast.

Standing approximately 6 inches (15.2 cm) tall, the figure boasts 32 points of articulation, allowing for a wide range of dynamic poses. Accessories include two dumbbells with metallic-finish weight plates, a barbell, a specialized gym towel, and interchangeable hands. The packaging itself is a nostalgic nod to 80s gym aesthetics, featuring vibrant radial pink, orange, and blue lines, along with an illustration of Skeletor mid-barbell lift. The window box design allows collectors to display the figure in various poses without even opening the package. Adding to the fun, the back of the box features a complete "Skeletor's Evil Workout Routine," detailing sets and reps for exercises like "Die-Cept Curls," "Tri-Klops Extensions," "Skeletor Bench Press," and "Evil Lunges," truly committing to the bit.

The "Masters of the Universe Gym Bro Skeletor Action Figure" is a 2026 SDCC exclusive, available for USD$50. It will be sold at the SDCC event and online via the Mattel Creations website starting July 23, 2026, while supplies last.
