The plot introduces Chalamet as Joe, an introverted rocket mechanic leading a quiet, solitary life. Gomez voices Fran, a brilliant space botanist tasked with developing the world's first plant-fueled rocket. Both Joe and Fran are inexperienced in romance, but sparks quickly fly as they collaborate on the groundbreaking rocket's inaugural launch. However, events take an unexpected turn when three mischievous alien children — Tonk, Willy, and Shem — hide in Joe's home to evade Zandro, a stubborn and bumbling interstellar law enforcement officer. Their only hope of returning safely to their home planet rests entirely on Fran's innovative rocket.
