Last month, Dwayne Johnson stated in an interview with Esquire magazine that he no longer intended to share his political views publicly. "I've learned to keep my political views to myself," Johnson declared, adding, "I don't like politics. I sometimes even hate it. I hate the divisiveness in politics and all the other BS that comes with it." Johnson's primary concern was that expressing political opinions would only alienate fans with differing viewpoints, something he wished to avoid.

While Johnson's stance might be understandable to some, it has sparked considerable backlash. Beyond online critics, fellow entertainment industry figures have also voiced their disapproval.

Veteran actor George Takei, known for his role in the original "Star Trek" series and films, recently took to Threads to criticize Johnson's remarks. Wil Wheaton, also a cast member of "Star Trek: The Next Generation," responded to Takei's post.
