Korean model company BLITZWAY's highly anticipated die-cast action figure line, "CARBOTIX," is unleashing the "Voltron (Black Ver.)" from "Voltron: Legendary Defender." This menacing variant is limited to just 1,500 units worldwide and is slated for a November 2026 release!
Premiering in 2016, "Voltron: Legendary Defender" is an animated series that reimagines the classic "Beast King GoLion." The story follows the Paladins of Voltron as they unite to defeat the nefarious Galra Empire. A distinctive feature of the production was its blend of animation techniques: characters and backgrounds were rendered using traditional animation, while Voltron's dynamic actions were brought to life with cutting-edge computer animation, featuring a completely redesigned aesthetic for the iconic robot.
The "Voltron Black Ver." stands an impressive 44cm tall in robot mode and can seamlessly separate into its individual five lion components. While its sculpt remains largely consistent with the standard version released in October 2025, this variant boasts a dramatically altered color palette. The primary scheme is now predominantly black, inspired by the central Black Lion, with the original vibrant colors serving as subtle accents. The eyes and select patterns have been switched to a striking red, and the transparent weapon parts now feature a deep, dark red, all contributing to a more understated yet powerfully aggressive dark aesthetic!
The weapon accessories are identical to the original release, including all five beast-mode weapons, the large shield formed from its wings, the Blazing Sword, and twin swords. The colorful display stand is also retained. Each lion's eyes are equipped with LED light-up functions, which can be activated and deactivated using the included magnetic stick. The figure incorporates robust ratchet joints to ensure stability for its limbs, while a die-cast metal frame provides enhanced durability, making it perfect for both display and dynamic posing!
