Director Quentin Tarantino often crafts extensive backstories and subplots for his films, so much so that only a portion makes it into the final cut. His "Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood" is a prime example. While the widely available version runs 161 minutes, Tarantino released an extended cut with an additional nine minutes shortly after its theatrical debut, and later penned a novelization that delved into even more narrative details.

Furthermore, a spin-off sequel, "The Adventures of Cliff Booth", is reportedly set to arrive later this year.

However, these derivative works might not be the full extent of Tarantino's plans. Robert Richardson (pictured left), Tarantino's Oscar-winning cinematographer, hinted in a recent interview with Deadline that more could be in store for "Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood." Richardson stated that audiences would be "a fool not to think there'll be something that's longer" for the film, confirming the vast amount of material shot. He suggested that as time goes on, Tarantino will likely revisit and rework the film, drawing a comparison to the multiple versions of "Reservoir Dogs." Richardson added that he believes more new versions of "Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood" will emerge once "The Adventures of Cliff Booth," directed by David Fincher, is released.

Regarding Tarantino's tenth and final film, Richardson estimated that production could commence next summer, after Tarantino completes his first stage play. However, Richardson also stressed that no one, including himself, currently knows what subject matter Tarantino will tackle next.
