Japanese manufacturer Good Smile Company has announced a brand new 1/7 scale figure, "G.S. Collection Kaori Miyazono (Wedding Dress Ver.)" from the beloved series "Your Lie in April." Pre-orders are now open from July 3 to September 2, 2026, with an estimated release in July 2027. The figure is priced at 19,900 JPY (tax included).
"Your Lie in April" is an acclaimed musical romance manga written by Naoshi Arakawa, which was adapted into an anime series in 2014. Its poignant story of violinist Kaori Miyazono and piano prodigy Kosei Arima, who had lost his ability to hear music, has moved countless readers and viewers. Kaori Miyazono, with her bright, lively, and vibrant spirit, ultimately bid farewell through a heartbreaking letter at the story's conclusion, cementing her status as one of the most poignant characters in anime history.
The most significant highlight of this release is the direct supervision of original manga artist Naoshi Arakawa, who envisioned an "if world line" theme to bring to life a wedding dress design never before seen in the original work. The simple yet elegant white wedding gown is complemented by a cherry blossom bouquet, symbolizing the arrival of spring, and her unforgettable smiling face, echoing her heartfelt words, "Don't forget me, okay? That's a promise, okay?" This figure immortalizes an "if" scenario that never came to pass in the story's original ending, allowing fans to forever cherish this beautiful possibility.
