Chinese model brand X-PLAY has revealed the prototype for the latest addition to its "J-20 Dragon Soul Fighter Series"—the "Cangwei Jinchi Liujin Edition" painted model. It is slated for release in September 2026, priced at 109 RMB, with pre-order dates to be announced soon.
"Cangwei" is an original mecha design within X-PLAY's J-20 Dragon Soul Fighter Series. While its overall design typically features a blue main color scheme, this new Jinchi Liujin Edition reinterprets the mecha with a vibrant red and gold palette, enhancing its powerful sci-fi military aesthetic. The product's standout feature is its multi-stage transforming weapon system. The included composite armament can freely switch between three forms: dual blades, a greatsword, and a double-bladed sword. Complementing this are two handguns and two missile launchers, making for a rich arsenal. The model also comes with one pair of interchangeable gripping hands and one pair of expressive hands, allowing for a wide range of combat poses.
Furthermore, the product includes glow-in-the-dark water decals and special marking water decals, allowing collectors to personalize their mecha with custom details. Once completed, the model can be displayed on the included display stand.
