PLEX, the Japanese company behind the popular "Toho Large Monster Series" of kaiju figures, has announced its latest release: the "Battra (Imago)" from the classic 1992 tokusatsu film "Godzilla vs. Mothra." This impressive figure is priced at 44,000 JPY and is slated for release in September 2026.

First appearing in 1992's "Godzilla vs. Mothra," Battra is a battle kaiju created by Earth's life force to combat a massive meteorite. In stark contrast to the gentle and protective Mothra, Battra possesses an extremely aggressive appearance, fueled by environmental destruction and the meteor's impact, harboring intense hostility towards humanity for harming the planet.

The "Toho Large Monster Series Battra (Imago)" is brought to life in an overwhelmingly powerful, large-scale sculpt! Its menacing black and red patterned giant wings span an impressive 60cm wide, with the figure standing 42cm tall. This rendition perfectly captures Battra's more ferocious, sharp, and aggressive black body compared to Mothra, complete with its distinctive lightning-patterned wings. Key features like the prominent head horn and red compound eyes are crafted with clear parts, evoking the biological energy flowing within the kaiju. Furthermore, the mouth is articulated, allowing collectors to display it in a roaring pose. The figure also includes a special display base inspired by "Minato Mirai 21" (Yokohama), the setting for the epic three-kaiju battle in the film, adding incredible realism to any display!
