BANDAI CANDY, the candy toy division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., has announced the latest release in its "Shodo Alpha Ultraman Kaiju" series. The sixth wave, "Shodo Alpha Ultraman Kaiju 6," is slated for release in November 2026.
The "Shodo Alpha Ultraman Kaiju" line is a series of articulated candy toys designed to complement the "Shodo Alpha Ultraman" figures. While some kaiju are re-sculpts or modifications from the previous "SHODO Ultraman VS" series, this line also features entirely new sculpts. Standing approximately 10 cm tall, each figure boasts intricate detailing and paint applications that faithfully capture their on-screen suit appearances. With flexible articulation, these kaiju can be paired with their Ultraman counterparts for dynamic battle recreations.
This latest sixth installment will feature four iconic monsters: the Transparent Monster Neronga, the Space Ninja Alien Baltan II, the Twin-Headed Monster Pandon, and the Ancient Monster Twintail. Each kaiju is rendered with a completely new sculpt, bringing their on-screen appearances to life. They also include articulation or interchangeable parts to recreate their signature battle poses. For instance, Neronga's antennae can rotate to depict its electric shock attack, Alien Baltan II's chest can be swapped to show its reflector deployed, both of Pandon's mouths are articulated, and Twintail can be posed in its underwater swimming state.
