BANDAI CANDY, the candy toy division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., has announced the upcoming release of "Shodo α Ultraman 15," the fifteenth installment in their "Shodo α" series of Ultraman action figures, slated for November 2026.
Launched in 2022, "Shodo α" is an evolved version of the previous Shodo series, offering approximately 10 cm tall Ultraman-themed mini-action figures that faithfully reproduce character designs and colors. Compared to its predecessor, the "α" version features an additional independent articulation point at the hip joint, significantly enhancing leg sculpt and poseability. Each Ultraman figure comes with its signature beam effect part, and can be further enhanced with various weapons from the Expansion Parts Set.
This latest "Shodo α Ultraman 15" wave features four iconic Ultraman characters: the protagonist of the newest series, Ultraman Arc; the classic Original Ultraman (B-TYPE); the highly popular New Generation hero, Ultraman Zero; and Zero's well-received disciple, Ultraman Z. An Expansion Parts Set is also included to further enhance playability for each character.
・Ultraman Arc
This figure meticulously recreates Ultraman Arc's gentle head sculpt and his signature silver and blue body patterns with precise molding and paintwork. Featuring pull-out shoulder joints, the figure can flawlessly replicate the cross-arm pose for his finisher, the "Arcium Ray," using the included effect part.
・Original Ultraman (B-TYPE)
Commemorating the 60th Anniversary of the "Ultraman" series, this figure boasts an entirely new sculpt, faithfully reproducing the distinctive B-TYPE suit's head sculpt and its iconic red and silver body patterns. Equipped with pull-out shoulder joints, it can perfectly strike the cross-arm pose for the "Specium Ray," complete with its dedicated effect part.
・Ultraman Zero
This updated version of Ultraman Zero features refreshed paint applications compared to previous releases. It includes the "Ultimate Bracelet" and the "Emerium Slash" beam effect, which fires from his forehead. Additionally, it comes with a newly sculpted "Eye of Light," a special 60th Anniversary enhanced equipment.
・Ultraman Z
Presented in his initial form, Ultraman Z features pull-out shoulder joints, allowing for dynamic posing to recreate the cross-arm stance for his signature "Zestium Ray," complete with its effect part.
・Expansion Parts Set
The Expansion Parts Set includes a blue cape for Ultraman Zero and Ultraman Z, the "Ultra Slash" effect part for Original Ultraman, and the "Arc Arrow" effect part for Ultraman Arc.
