Japanese toy company Qualia, known for its quirky and amusing creations, is back with a hilarious new release. Following up on their popular "Frazzled Cat" series, Qualia now introduces the "Bathed Cat Plushie" capsule toy collection. Featuring five different designs, each capsule toy will retail for 500 JPY and is slated for release in July 2026!
The "MOKEMONO" plushie series is a brand created by Japanese plush toy designer and pattern maker Sekonao. Sekonao crafts beloved mysterious creatures into adorable plush form. Its popular characters include the CHIRARIS family, who love to peek at the human world with tilted heads; HUGma, a teddy bear who loves cuddles; and BABY NESSIE, the adorable Loch Ness Monster baby, among others.
This latest Qualia release, the "Bathed Cat Plushie" charm capsule toy series, takes MOKEMONO's popular "UNFRIENDLY CAT" series and immortalizes them in hilarious, palm-sized capsule toy form, depicting them after being dragged into a bath, their fluffy fur soaked and their true, slender forms revealed! With their pitiful, resigned expressions and wet, delicate bodies, how can anyone not love these cats?
