Kotobukiya, the renowned Japanese toy company, is expanding its popular "BISHOUJO" figure line, known for its distinctive designs by Shunya Yamashita, with a new collaboration under the "Hasbro Bishoujo" series. The latest addition to this exciting lineup is the "Hasbro Bishoujo Furby" 1/7 scale PVC pre-painted figure! Priced at 25,300 JPY (tax included), this highly anticipated collectible is slated for release in March 2027.
First introduced in 1998 by American company Tiger Electronics, the "Furby" electronic robot toy quickly became a global sensation. With its hamster-like furry appearance, large owl-like eyes, and beak, it captured hearts worldwide. Hasbro later released an upgraded, interactive version in 2005, featuring voice recognition and a wider range of emotions and facial movements compared to the original, cementing its status as a household name and immensely popular toy.
After more than two decades, Hasbro's beloved "Furby" toy is making an unexpected return to the Bishoujo series! The "Hasbro Bishoujo Furby" 1/7 scale PVC pre-painted figure is based on an illustration by Shunya Yamashita, known for his skill in blending pop culture elements with his unique style to depict feminine charm. This cool and cute Furby-inspired girl makes her debut, sporting a fluffy, plush jacket designed with the iconic Furby aesthetic, complete with a fabric patch on the back resembling a Furby face. An enamel belt and platform boots are essential for her stylish, edgy look, and her sunglasses are removable for versatile display options. Even better, the figure also includes a small, winking Furby companion figure, sure to spark a wave of nostalgia!
