Bandai is set to release a new Ultraman-themed collectible: the "Ultraman Sofubi Package Charm DX" blind box series. Each box will retail for 990 JPY, with an anticipated release date of August 8, 2026!
The "Ultraman Hero Series" (ウルトラヒーローシリーズ) has been a staple for Bandai since 1983, offering classic Ultraman sofubi figures known for their affordability, durability, and extensive character roster. These figures hold nostalgic value as cherished childhood memories for countless Tokusatsu fans. The 1990s marked a particularly significant era for many veteran collectors, as the series maintained its 17cm large size and featured distinctive individual paper box packaging, complete with character photos and stats, adding a ceremonial touch to each release.
The "Ultraman Sofubi Package Charm DX" reimagines the iconic 1990s "Ultraman Hero Series" sofubi toys in exquisite miniature scale! This collection features all six of the legendary Ultraman Brothers—Ultraman, Ultraseven, Ultraman Jack, Ultraman Ace, Zoffy, and Ultraman Taro—along with one secret variant, making for a total of seven unique designs! Each mini figure faithfully captures the simple yet beloved sculpts of the original sofubi, while the classic paper box packaging from the early series is also meticulously scaled down, with even the intricate printing flawlessly reproduced. Completing the nostalgic package, each charm comes with a replica of the original hangtag, making them perfect for displaying on bags via the included ball chain or simply adding to your collection.
