Hong Kong toy manufacturer threezero is expanding its "DLX" series, known for its 7 to 12-inch mecha action figures, with a new "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts" themed release: the "Shattered Glass Goldbug" action figure. Pricing is yet to be announced, and this highly anticipated collectible is slated for release as a designated convention exclusive!
"Transformers: Shattered Glass" is a fan-favorite parallel universe concept first introduced at BOTCON in 2008. In this twisted reality, the roles of heroes and villains are completely reversed, with characters sporting distinct designs and color schemes that set them apart from their original alignments. Goldbug, in this universe, is the villainous counterpart to Bumblebee!
This new Goldbug figure stands approximately 20.3 cm (8 inches) tall and utilizes the impressive mold from the previously released "Rise of the Beasts" Bumblebee. Its core frame is constructed from die-cast zinc alloy, providing a premium feel and robust stability. With over 60 points of articulation throughout its body, collectors can achieve a wide range of dynamic and stable poses. The figure boasts exquisite sculpting that meticulously recreates every mechanical detail, now re-envisioned with a fresh paint scheme inspired by the Shattered Glass universe. It features a sophisticated application of metallic gold and matte black, accented with delicate carbon fiber patterns printed on the forearms and knee armor. The metallic blue battle mask further enhances Goldbug's menacing, predatory silhouette, perfectly capturing his villainous persona.
The thruster compartments on Goldbug's back feature a clever linkage mechanism, allowing for seamless transformation between retracted and deployed states. The head sculpt also includes a red LED light-up function, illuminating the eyes with an ominous, evil glow. Accessories include three pairs of interchangeable hands and an additional interchangeable head sculpt. For weaponry, Goldbug comes equipped with his classic Stinger Sword, alongside a newly designed transformable blaster. This versatile weapon can be assembled into a full-sized heavy cannon or disassembled into three individual blasters for single-hand wielding. To complete the display, missile effect parts and a dedicated display base are included, allowing fans to recreate powerful firing moments with dramatic flair!
