LEGO Pokémon 72168 Rayquaza Set Revealed, Featuring Zinnia Minifigure and Capturing the Sky Guardian's Iconic Form!

The LEGO Pokémon series is set to launch a brand-new kit, "72168 Rayquaza," on August 1, 2026. Priced at $129.99, this set includes 1,083 bricks and features a minifigure of Zinnia, a key character from "Pokémon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire."

Rayquaza is a Dragon/Flying-type Legendary Pokémon introduced in the third generation of the Pokémon series, Pokedex number 384, and is the cover Legendary for "Pokémon Emerald." Rayquaza has long resided in the ozone layer at the top of the atmosphere, feeding on minerals from meteorites. Its presence high in the sky is extremely rare, with sightings often mistaken for shooting stars. Rayquaza, along with the ancient Pokémon Groudon and Kyogre, is considered a super-ancient Pokémon and the guardian of the skies. It possesses the unique ability to Mega Evolve without needing to hold a Mega Stone.

The biggest highlight of this set is the inclusion of the Zinnia minifigure. As a crucial character in "Pokémon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire" and a Lorekeeper of the Draconids, Zinnia shares a deep bond with Rayquaza. Her addition makes this the only LEGO Pokémon set to feature a single Pokémon model paired with a minifigure, offering extra appeal for minifigure collectors.

Also joining the lineup in the same wave are 72150 Munchlax (757 pieces / $69.99) and 72160 Arcanine (1,190 pieces / $109.99).

Following up in October are the "72154 Poké Ball Scene Set" (2,343 pieces / $299.99) and "40868 Large-Scale Red Minifigure" (930 pieces / $79.99). These five sets collectively form the complete LEGO Pokémon collection for the second half of 2026.
