Japanese model maker PLEX has announced that the latest product from "SD Gundam Gaiden," the "Knight Gundam Sofubi Figure," will be available for pre-order on July 10, 2026, at Bandai's official online store, Premium Bandai.
Knight Gundam first appeared in "SD Gundam Gaiden: Sieg Zeon Arc." Appearing amidst lightning, he had lost all memories except his own name, but possessed a strong sense of justice. After coincidentally rescuing Princess Frau, and due to his name matching that of an ancient legendary hero, he was bestowed the title of Knight by Revile, embarking on a journey to defeat the Zeon tribe's Demon King, "Satan Gundam."
Currently, PLEX has revealed a sneak peek at the prototype sculpt for the "Knight Gundam Sofubi Figure." Utilizing sofubi material and rich color applications, the figure faithfully recreates the classic SD two-head-tall proportion and art style. It features the heavy and cool knight armor design across its entire body, along with its signature armaments: the Knight Sword, Knight Shield, and Electromagnetic Lance. The Knight Sword, in particular, boasts a metallic paint finish to convey a substantial, weighty feel.
