Good Smile Company's mecha-centric brand, MECHA SMILE, has announced a new line of BRICKROID figures from "Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance." A total of four units are slated for release, with pre-orders opening simultaneously on July 7, 2026, and closing on August 19, 2026. The entire series is scheduled to ship in December 2026.
The "BRICKROID" series features various mecha immortalized in a blocky, stylized form, each standing approximately 5cm tall. Designed by -moino-, these figures feature articulation in the neck, arms, and legs. The soles of their feet are equipped with 5mm pegs, allowing them to be mounted on their dedicated display stands or other compatible building blocks, making it easy to display them alongside other BRICKROID releases.
Evangelion Unit-01 Awakening Ver. (¥2,000)
In the climax of "Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance.," with Rei absorbed by the 10th Angel, Shinji cries out from his powerless Entry Plug, "Give Rei back to me!" In response, Eva-01 awakens—a halo materializes above its head as it regenerates a severed arm with its A.T. Field, tears the 10th Angel apart with an eye-beam, and rescues Rei from within, triggering the Near Third Impact. This figure captures the moment with translucent parts for the halo and left arm, and includes a clear support post to recreate its floating pose.
Evangelion Unit-00 (Kai) (:2.0) Ver. (¥2,200)
Facing the nearly invincible 10th Angel, Rei Ayanami pilots the hastily repaired Eva-00, determined to take the Angel down with her. Clutching an N2 missile, she charges its core. After Eva-02 tears through the Angel's A.T. Field with its teeth, creating an opening, Rei pushes Eva-02 to safety just before detonating the missile, making the ultimate sacrifice to protect Shinji. This figure includes the N2 missile as an equipable accessory to recreate this tragic and heroic stance.
Evangelion Unit-02 The Beast (¥2,500)
With Mari Makinami Illustrious inputting the command "Mode change, secret code, The Beast!", Eva-02's limiters are released, transforming it into its second beast form. Its limbs elongate and restraints shatter as it launches a feral assault on the 10th Angel. Even after its left arm, right abdomen, and the right side of its head are destroyed, it relentlessly bites through the Angel's A.T. Fields layer by layer, paving the way for Rei's N2 missile. This figure stands approximately 4cm tall and 5cm long, perfectly capturing its unique quadrupedal crawling pose with an articulated waist.
Evangelion Mark.06 (¥2,200)
Piloted by Kaworu Nagisa, the Mark.06 descends from the moon at the critical moment just as the awakened Eva-01 is about to trigger the Third Impact. It pierces Eva-01's core with the Spear of Cassius, halting the cataclysm. Upon landing, Kaworu delivers his iconic line: "The promised time has come, Shinji Ikari. This time, I will be the one to bring you happiness."
Also available for pre-order are the "4th Angel" (¥2,200) and "10th Angel" (¥2,500), along with a "Building A + Base Plate Set" (¥1,350) designed specifically for the BRICKROID series. These allow fans to build out and display the entire dramatic lineup from "Evangelion: 2.0."
