Variety magazine recently exclusively reported that Johnson is confirmed to star in "Free Byrd," the next self-penned and directed film from Greg Kwedar, director of "Sing Sing" and co-writer of "Train Dreams". In the film, Johnson will portray a Las Vegas motorcycle stuntman who risks everything for one final stunt, secretly battling dementia, a condition even his mechanic brother is unaware of.
"Free Byrd" will be primarily produced by Artists Equity, the company founded by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. Johnson will also serve as a co-producer through his own production company, Seven Bucks Productions.
