Danish toy brand LEGO has officially revealed its latest Icons series product, the "11381 Jaguar E-Type Roadster." This highly anticipated set is slated for release on August 1, 2026, with a suggested retail price of $139.99 USD and comprising 1,673 pieces.
The Jaguar E-Type is a classic convertible sports car produced by British automaker Jaguar between 1961 and 1974. Its debut immediately stunned the automotive world, with legendary racing designer Enzo Ferrari famously praising it as "the most beautiful car ever made." Globally, the E-Type remains one of the most iconic production sports cars to this day, with its streamlined silhouette and distinctive long hood, short deck proportions profoundly influencing subsequent sports car design aesthetics.
This LEGO rendition meticulously recreates the E-Type's iconic dark green body and wire-spoke wheels using 1,673 bricks. The exterior design relies entirely on printed elements, with no stickers required—the front brand emblem and license plate are rendered with printed parts, and the brand name on the boot lid is also handled via printing. Functionally, the doors, hood, and trunk lid are all openable. Lifting the hood reveals a finely detailed inline-six engine.
Inside the cockpit, you'll find a classic dashboard and gear shifter, with a printed Jaguar logo on the steering wheel that connects to the front wheel steering. The roof is constructed with fabric-style bricks and can be folded back to recreate the convertible state. The trunk pops open with a press and includes a five-piece tool kit: an adjustable wrench, a combination wrench, a screwdriver, and a hammer—a meticulous attention to detail. Once completed, the model measures approximately 37cm in length and 9cm in height.
This marks the 27th vehicle set in the LEGO Icons series, continuing LEGO's recent trend of recreating classic British and American sports cars (previous releases include the Shelby Cobra 427 S/C and Ford Model T). It's an unmissable display piece for both car enthusiasts and brick collectors.
