BANDAI SPIRITS' collectors division, TAMASHII NATIONS, has announced the December 2026 release of the "EVANGELION Unit-01 G-Awakening Form" from the "Godzilla vs. Evangelion" collaboration. This highly anticipated figure joins the S.H.MonsterArts line, known for its exquisite kaiju sculpts and exceptional articulation.
The "Godzilla vs. Evangelion" dream collaboration, which kicked off in 2016 following Hideaki Anno's "Shin Godzilla," has consistently explored various possibilities between the two iconic franchises. From this unique blend of their respective worlds, the "Unit-01 G-Awakening Form" was born – a phantom mecha conceptualized as Unit-01 undergoing a Godzilla-like mutation after being struck by Godzilla's atomic breath!
Standing approximately 15cm tall, the "S.H.MonsterArts EVANGELION Unit-01 G-Awakening Form" is a collaboration with X-PLUS. It meticulously recreates Unit-01's eerie, mutated appearance, transforming from the inside out after being "eroded." The figure intricately details the grotesque growth bursting through its restraints, while faithfully reproducing Godzilla's rough skin texture. Despite its Godzilla-fied transformation, it retains Unit-01's signature slender physique, complete with characteristic green dorsal fins. Leveraging S.H.MonsterArts' advanced articulation technology, this product boasts impressive poseability, effortlessly capturing dynamic stances from an intimidating arched back to a low crouch. Accessories include its iconic Atomic Breath effect, an alternate horn, and a display stand.
