Kotobukiya, the Japanese toy company, has announced its latest limited-edition product from the classic action game "Mega Man X": the "Zero 1st Ver. Limited Edition" 1/12 scale model kit! This item will be exclusively sold at Kotobukiya's official stores, priced at 13,200 JPY (tax included), with an estimated release in December 2026.
The "Zero 1st Ver. Limited Edition" 1/12 scale model kit brings Zero's iconic appearance from his debut in the original "Mega Man X" back to life! The biggest highlight is the complete upgrade to the molded colors, now featuring a pearl and metallic finish that perfectly simulates Zero's energy-charged state from the game. Beyond just color changes, Kotobukiya also incorporated player feedback, completely overhauling the leg joint structure that was a point of discussion in previous releases, significantly improving articulation and posing fluidity.
The accessories are also incredibly generous. This release includes the largest-ever "Spiral Crush Buster" effect part in Kotobukiya's "Mega Man X" model kit series, adding immense visual impact when attached! Additionally, it comes with two sets of newly upgraded leg joint parts, allowing collectors who previously purchased older versions like "Zero" or "Zero Black Zero Ver." to directly upgrade their existing kits.
