Just two months after a joint statement announced a settlement in the lawsuit between the leads of the hit romance film "It Ends with Us," the off-screen drama is far from over. Director and star Justin Baldoni and his wife, actress Emily Baldoni, suddenly posted a new video on Instagram to address the situation, and their remarks made it clear that their dissatisfaction lingers.
In the video, the Baldonis began by thanking their supporters and admitted they've had "a lot to say, and a lot that needs to be unpacked." They mentioned wanting to record a video multiple times to explain the full story but felt the timing was never right. While emphasizing they would not be delving into specifics now, they teased that there will be an appropriate time to discuss it openly in the future.

Throughout the video, the couple carefully avoided details and never mentioned the name of their "It Ends with Us" co-star and co-producer, Blake Lively, with whom they were in a legal dispute. However, Emily Baldoni couldn't resist at one point, directly accusing Lively of having "packaged" her allegations "as speaking out for women." The Baldonis concluded by stating that their current focus is on "healing" and moving forward.
The conflict dates back two years, beginning months before "It Ends with Us" was even released. Media reports frequently cited creative differences and constant on-set clashes between Lively and Baldoni. Lively's husband, Ryan Reynolds, was also drawn in, reportedly helping rewrite the script in violation of the then-active WGA strike rules. Later that year, after the film's release, Lively countersued, accusing Baldoni of coordinating with a PR team to plant negative stories about her in the media and of repeated verbal sexual harassment on set. With the dispute now legally settled, the only outstanding issue is the resolution of legal fees.
