Following the success and advanced development techniques honed by its highly realistic and articulated "Creature Encyclopedia Repty" (いきもの大図鑑レプティ) series, Bandai's Gashapon division has officially unveiled a brand-new articulated line for non-biological subjects: UGOMO! The highly anticipated first wave introduces the incredibly popular "UGOMO Haniwa and Dogu" collection. This series features five distinct figures, each priced at 500 JPY per capsule, with an expected release in late October 2026.
The "UGOMO Haniwa and Dogu" Gashapon series centers around the enigmatic and almost mystical Dogu figures, brimming with historical intrigue. The lineup includes two variations of the armored "Haniwa Keikō Bujin" (Armored Warrior Haniwa) in both light and dark color versions, alongside three alien-esque "Shakōki Dogu" (Goggle-Eyed Dogu) in bronze, copper, and an "Open-Eyed" version. Despite their compact, palm-sized stature of approximately 60mm, these figures boast astonishing articulation. Whether you want to pose the warriors in heroic battle stances or have the Shakōki Dogu adorably wiggle their hips, the possibilities are endless! This series flawlessly recreates these iconic pottery artifacts from Japan's Kofun period.
