BANDAI HOBBY, a division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS, has announced the latest addition to its "SD Gundam World Heroes" model kit series. The "SDW HEROES Fukkatsu Kira Hagane DX Set [Special Coating]" is slated for release in January 2027 and will be exclusively available through Bandai's official online store, Premium Bandai.
"SD Gundam World Heroes: The Legend of Kira Hagane" is set in the Musha World within the SD Gundam universe. Alongside returning characters like Wukong Impulse Gundam and Nobunaga Gundam Epyon, new additions include Musha Gundam 78 and Shinobi Aerial Gundam. Musha Gundam 78 is a reimagining based on the RX-78 series Gundam, featuring new crimson armor and "Kira Hagane" elements. Shinobi Aerial Gundam is a next-generation ninja, blending the iconic "Shinobi Gundam" from the classic "SD Sengokuden" with "Gundam Aerial," the protagonist mobile suit from "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury."
The "SDW HEROES Fukkatsu Kira Hagane DX Set [Special Coating]" is an enhanced version of the previously released standard kit, featuring both Musha Gundam 78 and Shinobi Aerial Gundam. Both mobile suits boast luxurious plated gold armor parts, while other components are molded in a lustrous metallic finish. Clear parts are infused with sparkling glitter, and the "Kira Hagane" elements, produced using "IMD (In-Mold Decoration) molding," contribute to an even more captivating and opulent color scheme.
