Chinese toy manufacturer CCSTOYS has officially announced the next entry in its "MORTAL MIND Teppeki" die-cast action figure line: the "Raftclans Aurun" from "Super Robot Wars OG". The company also unveiled the developing prototype for the first time.
The "Raftclans Aurun", an original unit from "Super Robot Wars OG The Moon Dwellers", was designed by mechanical designer Takayuki Yanase. This specialized machine is piloted by Orphan Lanx, a knight of the alien faction known as the "Frey Knights Order". The Raftclans Aurun is an upgraded variant of the black Raftclans that Orphan piloted in "Super Robot Wars J". It boasts three "Ogon Cannons" mounted on its backpack and chest, functioning as powerful map weapons. Its right arm features a shield that can transform into the "Ogon Claw" to immobilize foes. The primary weapon, the "Ogon Gigas Rifle", is highly versatile, transforming between Rifle Mode, Gigas Mode, and its devastating special attack, "Ogon Crystal Burst Gigas" Mode.
The unpainted prototype of the "MORTAL MIND Teppeki Raftclans Aurun" has been revealed, showcasing its impressive design. The figure faithfully captures the mecha's cool proportions and the intricate, heavy detailing of its shoulder and skirt armor, all based on the original game settings. The prototype clearly displays the two Ogon Cannons mounted on its back, along with its massive "Ogon Gigas Rifle" and shield. Collectors can anticipate the final product to feature the weapon's transformation gimmick and include crystal effect parts to recreate the impactful "Ogon Crystal Burst Gigas" Mode.
