Japanese model manufacturer PLEX has officially announced the upcoming release of their latest product from the "SD Gundam Gaiden" series, the "Knight Gundam Sofubi Figure", slated for October 2026. This item will be available exclusively through Bandai's official online store, Premium Bandai.
Knight Gundam first made his appearance in "SD Gundam Gaiden: Sieg Zeon Arc." Emerging amidst a flash of lightning, he possessed a strong sense of justice but had lost all memories except his own name. After coincidentally rescuing Princess Frau, and due to his name matching that of an ancient legendary hero, he was bestowed the title of Knight by Revil. He then embarked on a perilous journey to defeat the Zeon tribe's demon lord, "Satan Gundam."
The "Knight Gundam Sofubi Figure" boasts an impressive scale, standing approximately 22 cm tall and spanning 31 cm wide. Its overall design faithfully recreates the iconic two-head-tall proportions envisioned by illustrator Yokoi, meticulously crafting the heavy, imposing knight armor with vibrant colors. The figure comes equipped with his signature armaments: the Knight Sword, Knight Shield, and Electro-Magnetic Lance. Collectors can choose to display the right hand wielding either the Knight Sword or the Electro-Magnetic Lance, allowing for dynamic combat poses. Both weapons can also be neatly stowed away when not in use, with the Knight Sword attaching to the shield and the Electro-Magnetic Lance mounting on the back hanger.
