Just last month, reports surfaced that Sebastian Stan, long rumored to be playing Harvey Dent, aka Two-Face, in "The Batman - Part II," was actually cast as the lesser-known serial killer Victor Zsasz. The role of Two-Face was instead said to be going to "Eternals" star Brian Tyree Henry.

Now, another major casting rumor for "The Batman - Part II" has been turned on its head. Scarlett Johansson, who was previously rumored to be playing Dent's wife, Gilda Dent, is now reportedly attached to a completely different role.

Earlier today, a leaker on the DCULeaks subreddit claimed that Johansson is actually set to play another iconic DC villain: Poison Ivy. This version, however, will reportedly be a more grounded take on the character, stripped of her plant-manipulating superpowers and toxin immunity. Instead, she will be portrayed as a serial killer with a deep obsession with botany, using her knowledge of toxins to commit her crimes. The post also suggests that Batman will initially believe Zsasz is behind the killings before discovering Poison Ivy is the true culprit.

According to the leak, Poison Ivy's primary targets in the film will be members of Gotham's elite secret society, the Court of Owls. Furthermore, Charles Dance, who was previously rumored to play a character named Christopher Dent, is now said to be portraying the leader of the Court.

This new rumor aligns with earlier reports. When Nexus Point News first broke the story of Johansson's potential involvement last year, they listed Poison Ivy as one of the possible roles she could play. Adding fuel to the fire, reports from last month also indicated that a solo Poison Ivy series is in development within Robert Pattinson's "The Batman" universe. Piecing these clues together, the likelihood of the iconic villain making her debut seems increasingly high.
