The low-budget horror film "The Backrooms," which has already grossed a staggering $360 million worldwide, launched its new extended cut, "Backrooms: Everything Must Go Edition," in U.S. theaters on July 3. Distributor A24 had previously emphasized that the 16 minutes of hidden post-credits footage added to this version would be exclusive to its theatrical run and would not receive any further distribution after leaving cinemas. However, just days later, A24 has abruptly changed its mind.

A24 and writer-director Kane Parsons recently confirmed that the "Everything Must Go Edition" bonus content will indeed be available outside of theaters, with the new footage set to be uploaded to YouTube this week. This additional hidden post-credits sequence was not deleted content filmed during the movie's production; instead, Parsons created it using Blender software over two weeks *after* the film's initial release. Audiences who have already seen the sequence in theaters will recognize that its narrative style aligns closely with "The Backrooms" YouTube short series, making YouTube the most fitting platform for its wider viewing.
